How to Spot a Fake Graded Slab
Counterfeit slabs are getting better. Five checks that catch almost every fake.
Always look up the certification number on the grading company's website. The card, grade and photos should match exactly.
Inspect the label font and hologram. Fakes often have slightly blurry printing or a flat, non-shifting hologram.
Check the case itself. Real slabs are sonically sealed with clean seams and no glue marks.
Be wary of prices far below comps. If a PSA 10 is listed 50% under market, there's usually a reason.
Buy on platforms with buyer protection, and keep every message and photo until the card is in your hands.
